Check your Argos gift card balance

Argos has an online balance checker, and it lives inside your Argos account. Here is how to reach it, plus the ways to check without signing in.

Check in your Argos account

  1. Find your gift card number and PIN. Argos card numbers start with 98260 or 100000. For an eGift Card both are in your delivery email.
  2. Open the Gift cards page in your Argos account using the button on this page. You will be asked to sign in first.
  3. Enter the card number and PIN, then select Check balance to see what is left.

Register the card instead

If your card number does not start with 10000, Argos lets you register it to see the balance plus a transaction history, and to block the card if it is lost or stolen. The registration links are on the Argos help page.

Do I need an Argos account to check my balance?

For the online checker, yes. It sits inside Your Account at argos.co.uk, so you are asked to sign in before you can enter a card number. If you would rather not sign in, register the card instead or ask at the counter in any Argos store.

Why does my eGift Card balance look out of date?

Argos says an eGift Card balance updates three times a day, so a very recent purchase may not show straight away. Check again a little later before assuming something is wrong.

Does an Argos gift card expire?

Argos gift cards carry a 3 year expiry. Check the terms supplied with your card for the exact date that applies to it.

Where do I find my gift card number and PIN?

For an eGift Card, the number and PIN are in the email you received when the card was delivered. On a physical card they are printed on the back. Argos card numbers start with 98260 or 100000.
