Check your Amazon gift card balance
Amazon keeps your gift card balance inside your account rather than on a public checker, so checking means signing in. Here is where to look.
Check in your Amazon account
- Open your Amazon gift card balance page using the button below. You will be asked to sign in to your Amazon account first.
- The page shows your current gift card balance, which is the total of every gift card you have added to the account.
- If the card is not showing yet, enter its claim code on the same page to add it to your balance.
You will be asked to sign in to your Amazon account. Galore never sees your Amazon login.
In the Amazon app
Open the menu, then Account, then Gift cards. The same balance appears there and you can add a new claim code from the same screen.
At checkout
Your gift card balance is applied automatically at checkout once it has been added to the account, and the amount used is shown on the order summary.
Good to know
Can I check the balance of one specific gift card?
Not once it has been added to your account. Amazon pools every gift card you add into a single account balance, so the page shows the combined total rather than a per card figure. Check the value of an individual card before you add it.
Does an Amazon gift card expire?
Amazon gift cards carry a 10 year expiry. Check the terms supplied with your card for the exact date that applies to it.
Where do I find my claim code?
For an eGift, the claim code is in the email you received when the card was delivered. On a physical card it is printed on the back, sometimes under a scratch off panel.
